ETA in June 2025:
Amazing to think it's been over 10 years since I wrote THE END to this, my debut psychological suspense novel. Now I've got 6 traditionally published novels, a few dozen short stories, and even some non-fiction in print and online. It's been quite the decade, and it all started with watching the Elbow River rise west of Calgary, with one eye on the sky filled with ominous clouds. Can I capture that mood of creeping dread in fiction? I wondered. Apparently I did, well enough that this novel won the Crime Writers of Canada award. Quite the decade, but here we are again, watching the skies and the river's rise, wondering who will die in the next Falls Mystery.
++++++++++++++++++++++++
Today in Calgary & area, the annual mass fretting over the state of the rivers is passing without another devastating #Flood
